ENZI Ice Cream

ENZI is the home of Toronto’s first New Zealand-style real fruit ice cream. The menu features classic fruit flavours, experimental options like matcha and hojicha, and a growing list of drinks and dessert. What started with ice cream is now becoming a cult brand.

Project Goals

ENZI’s founder, Chris, was just one month away from opening his doors. Summer was coming full speed ahead and the crowded market was a threat. The challenge was to create a brand that stands out, by avoiding ice cream cliches and building a high-quality reputation from day one.

The Vision:

  • Lead with a bold orange to cut through the pink pastel market. Pair with fruit-inspired colours and a sophisticated vine green to signal quality.

  • Design a custom wordmark inspired the natural swirls of soft serve, balancing friendliness with quality.

  • Avoid direct ice cream visuals in the logo so it remains timeless even as ENZI expands into new desserts and drinks.

The Result

  • ENZI had an incredible launch, giving away 500+ free ice creams in the first two days of opening and gaining several hundred 5-star Google reviews in the process.

  • The logos were well-loved by the community, allowing for a seamless menu expansion and the introduction of a new mascot to carry the playful side of the brand.

  • ENZI’s customers are happy to pay premium prices and Chris is able to fully focus on operating his business instead of worrying about the visuals.
